
Knepper Represents the Mustangs in 3000m Finals
GAINSVILLE, Fla. - The Mount Mercy women's indoor track and field team had one final competitor on the national stage at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Florida on Saturday.
Abby Knepper represented the Mustangs in the 3000m finals after qualifying with a 10th-place finish in the prelims, posting a time of 10:15.12. In the finals, Knepper improved her time to 10:06.20, securing 10th place. Her performance set a new school record, beating the previous mark by 11 seconds and placing her atop the program's all-time top five performers in the event.
With the indoor season now complete, the Mustangs shift their focus to the outdoor season, which begins on March 28 at the Washington University Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Mo.
