Mustangs Wrap Up Northwest Iowa Invitational
LEMARS, Iowa - The Mount Mercy wrapped up the Northwest Iowa Invitational on Tuesday, shooting a team score of 970 over three rounds.
A pair of Mustangs would fire rounds of five-over 77 in the third and final round of the tournament. Gracie Murray and Carli Irvine would each fire 77's, as Murray would card 12 pars along with a birdie. Irvine would net herself two birdies to go along with eight pars.
Kyla Johnson was the third Mustang in on the leaderboard in the third round, ending her day with an 11-over 83. Johnson would card eight pars, four on each side of the course, to end her tournament.
Grace Haas and Lauren McPhillips-Newcomb each recorded scores of 15-over 87. Haas carded seven pars with five coming on the front nine, where McPhillips-Newcomb carded five pars to go along with one birdie.
The Mustangs will return to the course at the Simpson Invite in Indianola tomorrow.
