LAMONI, Iowa - The Mount Mercy men's soccer team fell on the road on Wednesday, falling to Graceland by a score of 1-0.
The Yellowjackets got on the board early in the first half, as Kendall Guzman Soto scored in the 17th minute in what would prove to be the lone goal of the contest. The game was a defensive battle, as both teams only combined for eight shots, four on each side.
Alejandro Cuende, despite allowing the goal, would record three saves in the loss. The Yellowjackets would hold an advantage in shots on goal at 4-2, while the Mustangs held the edge in corner kicks at 6-3.
The Mustangs will return to action on Saturday on the road against Central Methodist in Fayette.
