
Men's Bowling Secures BPA Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic Title
ADDISON, Ill. - The Mustang men's bowling team captured another tournament crown on the season, this time coming in the BPA Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic held in Addison.
The Mustangs were dominant throughout the entire tournament, having held the top spot in four of the five qualifying games. After the first day of the tournament, the Mustangs found themselves with a nearly 200 pin lead on second place Saint Ambrose. The Mustangs would then take home the top spot throughout the baker games to earn the tournament win.
Blake Walsh would finish third overall with a total pin count of 1204 after bowling all five games above 200, with a tournament high 267 in his second game. Robert Vater would finish just outside of an all-tournament team selection, ending in sixth with a total pin cound of 1171. Vater would nearly record a perfect 300 in his third game, ending the third game with a score of 287. The third Mustang to finish in the top-10 was Zach Andresen, finishing in eighth place with a total pin cound of 1156. Andresen would start off his tournament with two games of 269 en route to a top-10 finish.
The Mustangs will look to capture another tournament title at the Kohawk Invite in Cedar Rapids next weekend.
