Andresen's Perfect Game Highlights Successful Day One

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Mustangs placed fourth on the first day of the Leatherneck Classic with a total pin count of 5360, highlighted by a perfect 300 from Zach Andresen.

The Mustangs trail only one NAIA school in Webber International (5833 pins) while trailing NCAA schools Wichita State (5336) and UW-Whitewater (5383). The men's bowlers made up significant ground after placing 18th after the first team game of the tournament. By the third game of the day, the Mustangs had jumped up 11 spots to number seven, as the three schools previously mentioned remained in the top three.

After a great game four, the Mustangs jumped into the a tie for fourth with fellow NAIA school St. Francis out of Illinois at 4243 pins. The team added over 1100 pins in game five to take a solo fourth on day one. After the successful day one, the Mustangs will be back in action on Sunday for the final day of the tournament.
