Following her graduation from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree in athletic training, LaMere began her athletic training career as a graduate assistant for Minnesota State-Mankato. During her two years at Minnesota State-Mankato, she worked with the track & field and cross country teams. LaMere graduated from Minnesota State-Mankato with a master’s degree in exercise science and cardiac rehabilitation before joining the Mount Mercy staff. Currently in her 12th season as the head athletic trainer for the Mustangs, LaMere primarily serves as the athletic trainer for baseball and men’s basketball. LaMere has also been teaching for the exercise science program since 2019.

What’s the best part about your job?
 “I love the family environment of Mount Mercy University. I love getting to work and getting to know the student athletes. Seeing the worst days a student-athlete can have and then helping them get back to the sport they love is by far the best part of my job."
